|Sanders’ studio New York, NY 2010|
Sara Sanders’ work stems from a contemplative, internal space and seems to create a similar contemplative, meditative response in the viewer. Sanders strives to create simple, engaging work: beautiful social objects with an emotional resonance and purity of intent that capture a still moment in time.
Sara Sanders received a BA in Sociology, BFA in Studio Art and minor in Art History from the University of Florida. Sanders spent several years in marketing and design in San Francisco and New York, working with artists, architects and collectors. Sanders left behind a successful design career to focus on her studio work. Sanders has recently exhibited at Sue Scott Gallery- NYC, Coo Gallery – NYC, David Krut Projects – NYC and Eric Firestone Gallery – East Hampton, NY, had print editions published by Forth Estate and Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and has a solo exhibition scheduled for spring 2012 at Blackburn 20|20, NYC.
