Kreh Mellick

Kreh Mellick (b. New Jersey) received a BFA in Illustration from Maine College of Art and was a CORE fellow at Penland School of Crafts. Mellick’s works on paper relate narratives inspired by folklore, nostalgia, and time passed.  Working primarily with gouache on paper, often cut and layered in reassembled environments, Mellick has also undertaken mural and textile design projects that combine decorative patterns with airy, minimalist, ethereal landscapes, figures and creatures of her own creation  Mellick’s works are in the collections of the New York Public Library and Library of Congress among others. Mellick lives and works in Asheville, NC.
