Louise Sheldon

Louise Sheldon (b.1985, Providence, RI) is a painter of everyday moments, memories, and fragments of time.  Flowers, patterns, pets, and pop culture appear as we experience them, as if held in our hands, within the field of our vision, or the corner of a memory more felt than seen.  The air of familiarity is a large part of the allure of Sheldon’s Work.

Sheldon’s most recent exhibitions include Europa Gallery in New York City, Standard Space in Sharon, CT, Halsey McKay Gallery in East Hampton, and Ditch Projects in Springfield, OR. Louise Sheldon lives and works outside of Portland, Maine
